Bug Description

Thinkpad T42 with Dapper Kubuntu had suspend to RAM and resume working just fine, but since an update (not sure just what package) in the last week or two now the following happens:

Machine is configured to suspend on lid close.

First suspend works fine -- machine goes to sleep, crescent-moon LED comes on.

First resume works fine -- after lifting lid, machine comes to life, crescent-moon LED blinks for a few seconds, then goes out.

Second and subequent suspend -- screen blanks and crescent-moon LED starts blinking. LED never stops blinking and on opening lid, screen comes back and LED continues to blink. Apparently, the machine is not suspending but merely screen blanking.

Interesting that the first suspend/resume works fine.

I've since upgraded to Edgy and the problem has gone away.
