Bug Description

Setting up python-gst0.10 (0.10.5-1ubuntu1) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/python-gst0.10.postinst: line 5: pyversions: command not found

This is with on a dapper install partially upgraded to edgy. Version of python (the package pyversions is in on edgy) is dapper version. This package needs to depend on a higher version of python (currently: python (<< 2.6), python (>= 2.4))

This may very well be a bug in python-central (if it creates the Depends line).

the package depends on python-central (>= 0.5.6), which depends on python (>= 2.3.4-10), so the pyversions script should be available. what am I missing?

Have tested this with dapper and feisty. Neither shows this problem.

Please provide more information to reproduce the problem.

i.e. ubuntu version, python version installed. list of packages installed.

Thanks

After a month no response from submitter received. The error does not occur on dapper or feisty. Edgy also has a newer package then the one that is referred to. Therefore the bug is closed now. Please feel free to reopen if new information is available.
