Bug Description
Binary package hint: usplash
When Ubuntu has been booted 30 times, a root file system check is forced. On dapper, you would get feedback in the startup process that this was done. However, with the new usplash, the only feedback you get that something is going on is that the progress bar stops at a certain point for a long time while the file system is checked. When extraordinary thing like this happens, some visual/text feedback would be wanted, as a new ubuntu user would have no idea why the loading all of a sudden takes 10 times longer and might think that something is wrong.
