Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

After you subscribe to another users calender to view and see appointments. If you now go and add an appointment to the shared calender the item shows up for a split second before it disapears, this is because the item goes into 'private' mode dispite you specifying otherwise.

Its on ubuntu dapper. You go to file -> subscribe to other users folder. Then
you just look for the folder you want to subscribe to.

is the folder a local one, a network one, what protocol does it use? Do you have any simple example to point or describe?

Hi

What happens is, when you use a network callender ( exchange in our case ),
you can see your own callender. Then when you go to file you can 'subscribe'
to another callender. When you use this callender you must mark it to be used
in the callender screen, which is a mission because it does not always want
to be enabled. Lets say that you got to this callender and you can see the
contents and want to create a appointment on the other callender, it gets
created successfully but it will always be marked to private. Since this is
not your callender and you are not the owner you cannot see the contents
untill the owner sets it as non-private etc.

Appointments etc created in shared calenders seems to work fine now. They are
flagged as public which allows you to continue seeing them.
