Binary package hint: kdebase

Hello,

I don't know if launchpad can be used to make a wishlist, if not then sorry.

Is it possible to include by default in kubuntu the same option as with ubuntu about the music sound preview by having the mouse over the file ?

* for mp3 files since it was confirmed that .ogg files work fine once you set 'View -> Preview -> Auto'.

The Kubuntu file manager Konqueror can preview sound files if you hover your mouse pointer over the file (this can be enabled in Konqueror's menu under View->Preview->Sound files). If you would like to add this functionality for use with mp3 files, install libarts1-mpeglib

You would like this (other than for mp3's) enabled by default?

Thanks for the answer, I actually thought I had to install some package to make it work...but it works just like you said.

It works fine for ogg but like you said not for mp3, maybe have the package installed when you decide to install the mp3 support ? Even if that's not possible I think that ogg files preview with hovering is a great feature but that's only me.

Changed the title and added info to the description for mp3 files only. Ogg works fine, but even after editing my mp3 settings I couldn't get mp3 to preview. Will test in Konqueror 4.
