Bug Description

On a Dell 510m (i910 graphics) running the latest Edgy Eft, hibernate and resume works fine, except the following:

Regardless of whether metacity or compiz is selected as window manager, after returning from hibernation, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It still 'works', as the hovering-effects are visible.

Restarting X with CTRL-Backspace returns the mouse cursor.

I can confirm this bug.

I have the same Dell 510m, i855 graphics, Synaptics touchpad, and USB mouse.

Hi Gaele,

can you confirm whether this happens with Ubuntu, Kubuntu or Xubuntu (in
other words, whether it might be a Gnome bug or not)?

Patrick
(who still hasn't pinpointed the problem on his laptop...)
