Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-codec-install

By default, /etc/apt/sources.list on armel (possibly on x86 as well) disables universe & multiverse. Without universe enabled, gnome-code-install fails to find any codecs for MP3 or other formats that are not entirely open. The program will return an error stating that no supported codecs were found, where it should also indicate activiation of universe (and possibly multiverse) is needed.

On the ubiquity installer, there is a checkbox during install to add these needed codecs. This does not exist for preinstalled images that only use oem-config.
