Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

Vlc doesn't stream audio track in edgy anymore. If you stream a video file or dvd or something else with vlc it doesn't send the audio track anymore at least for udp and http. Transcoding of audio doesn't help too.
Some weeks ago it works fine in Edgy vlc.
And could please someone explain why vlc is a svn version and not the stable 0.85?

There are a considerable number of fixes from the 0.8.6 branch; furthermore they're being pulled from the Debian Sid source package.

Feel free to backport them all to 0.8.5 and to submit the resulting debdiff to the MOTU media team.

Supplying vlc -vvv debug output with these kinds of errors usually helps a lot as well.

I have tested it now on localhost and it works. I don't know if it has fixed or has only something to do with amd64 architecture. I haven't an amd64 system anymore so I can't check it.
