For completeness,
I am using a Trust 10 ports powered HUB connected to the USB host port on the board.
This also happened with a Trust USB/self-powered 4 ports hub

I had a similar experience with the stock Ubuntu kernel, but a later kernel I received from rsalveti fixed it. I'm not entirely sure which one though, but the bottom line is that I'm no longer experiencing the problem. The kernels can be found here: http://people.canonical.com/~rsalveti/kernel/. The ones of interest, are those that end with .igep2. Currently I'm using uImage-igep2-v4.

rlameiro indicated that this also happened with Ubuntu omap kernels; at least with linux-image-2.6.35-22-omap .33.

Same USB debug log, this time with a 4 port usb/self powered hub. The former was with a 10 port with its own power supply

Hi Ricardo,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

@rlameiro: could you also test and report if this issue happens with IGEPv2 stock kernel? Also, please add the correct revision number of your board to this bug, so we can trace if it's only related with a specific revision, as it works fine for jo-erlend.

If that's useful, I'm running daily builds of linux-omap at http://hudson.dooz.org/job/linux-omap/CONFIG=omap/

Hello Ricardo,
I am not longer seeing this problem. One of the most recent kernel's tested were the linux-omap kernel and the linux-linaro kernel as of the Linaro Daily build 20101012-0

If you are still seeing the problem, please let me know, thanks!

Based on the comment from Torez Smith above I'm marking this as 'Incomplete' for linux-linaro. Ricardo, can you confirm whether or not you still see this issue on the latest images?

What status should be set for this so it does not show up as an active bug?

Since it can't be reproduced anymore, I'd say Invalid. If someone can still reproduce it, please reopen the bug or open a new one. When we're blocked on input from someone, Incomplete is about right, and then Expired when we've waited for a long while.
