Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

When I try to scan the database with Amarok, it encounters eroor with all the files with *.rm extensions. The error displayed is this
Sorry, the Collection Scan was aborted, since too many problems were encountered.
Advice: A common source for this problem is a broken 'TagLib' package on your computer. Replacing this package may help fixing the issue.
The following files caused problems:
/media/common/Music/Mohabbatein/zinda.rm
/media/common/Music/PyarIshqMoh/piamtheme.rm
/media/common/Music/PyarIshqMoh/apni.rm

And for all the following filees with *.rm extension.

I am having a similar issue. I have approx 7000 songs on an NTFS windows machine that I have mounted via smbfs. I get to approx 85% complete with the scan and I get the following error.

I have repeated this multiple times and tried re-installing the taglib package as suggested.

Are you still having this problem, and if so on what ubuntu release,version of Amarok, and version of taglib. Thanks for the bug report.
