Supercollider should have a dependency on "make" if emacs is installed.

Binary package hint: supercollider

When I tried to install supercollider on a relatively clean install of dapper, I got the following error transcript in the post-install phase:

/usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/install/supercollider line 13 - make: command not found

After installing make first, the supercollider install went flawlessly.

I'm not sure if this script is run regardless of whether the recommended emacsen package is present, but if it is, then make should be a dependency.

It's still an issue insofar as it doesn't appear to have been fixed but it's not a problem for me - the trivial workaround is to install "make" package before installing "supercollider".

I'm happy to attempt to create a patch to the package to fix the issue if it will be accepted by the maintainer into the distribution.

This issue persists in Hardy. It only occurs when emacsen is installed.

Hi - I think this bug relates to the slightly older supercollider package.
We've got new supercollider packages at
https://launchpad.net/~supercollider/+archive/ppa
and they should avoid this bug (the new packages depend on build-essential, which provides make).
