Bug Description

Binary package hint: hplip-ppds

ii got a deskjet 3740 for super-cheap at staples. it works great with ubuntu except for two problems.

the problem for this bug is that if i print outside of the hard margins of the printer (ie: physical limitations) then the job just stalls in the print queue. no error, no nothing. the job just sits there forever.

if i erase the job and send another job that's inside the margins then everything is fine again.

i'm using the hplip-ppds driver (HP-DeskJet_3740-hpijs.ppd) for the printer. i'm not sure this bug belongs to this package, but it seems like a pretty good spot for it.
