Bug Description

After one of the recent updets in Dapper Drake, there is no more sound in flash content. And it worked before! I'm just not sure which one of the updates was responsible for this, but it happened about Oct 8th - 9th. Please repair this!

Hi, thank you for the bug report.

Can you verify that this problem occurs even if you:
1. Turn off all other programs (especially anything using the sound card)
2. Close all instances of firefox and open firefox again
3. Visit a flash site

or try using aoss by following the directions at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats#head-c268ba69c6b38af1dc31ea09701c7d296cf971c3

or try using the flash9 beta

And let us know if any of these resolve your sound issue.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for the bug report, if it is possible to update the status of this bug it would be greatly appreciated, could you try Jason's suggestions to see if this rectifies the problem, it would seem like it's an ALSA problem than a flash-player problem.

Hello Daniel,

Upon corresponding with other members of the Mozilla Team it has become apparent that this package is unsupported under Dapper, I would recommend using the flashplugin-nonfree package from now on and any further information regarding this bug should be redirected to..
