I want to use whining events as described in chapter 2.3.4. in
http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/2.20/html/extraconfig.html or
http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/2.22/html/extraconfig.html.

I can't find the "whine.pl" script in the Ubuntu package bugzilla-2.20-1 nor in any of the Debian bugzilla packages bugzilla-2.16.7-7sarge1, bugzilla-2.22-4 or bugzilla-2.22-5.

The web interface of Bugzilla 2.20+ seems to allow for "Set up whining" in cgi-bin/bugzilla/editwhines.cgi but that has no effect since I cannot set up the required cron job to execute "whine.pl" as described in the bugzilla docs.

I'm the one who has originally reported this bug.

The same still applies to Edgy and the Debian sid packages. Apparently Debian upstream has removed the file.

I have sent bug report emails to Alexis Sukrieh, the Debian maintainer of the bugzilla package, but didn't get any reply.

Here is an entry in my blog about how I worked around the bug: http://odoepner.supersized.org/archives/3-Make-Bugzilla-whine.html

Uploaded to Gutsy. I am merely installing the whine.pl in /usr/share/bugzilla/lib (which is where whineatnews.pl was installed). I am doing no special handling with the file. Thanks for the bug report!
