Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

I just did a fresh installation of Edgy (beta), and I can't install Google Toolbar:

"Google Toolbar for Firefox" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your Firefox build type (linux-gnu_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item about the problem.

However, on another system that I upgraded from Dapper to Edgy, the toolbar continued to work with the same firefox profile, so it isn't really incompatible.

Is there a workaround for this?

That means that you should contact Google.

I do not think that a bug report is the right place for posting workarounds, maybe you should ask in the forums :)

Changed in firefox:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected

Sorry, my first bug report. You are correct, I realize this is more appropriate for the forums.
