kubuntu edgy-beta live-cd fails to boot

Bug Description

There are several issues:
First that instead of the kubuntu boot splash screen I get some messages which afaik means that something did not go as planned.
Second. X seems to start and then I get the KDE splash with the starting of services for a few seconds but after that the screen distorts and remains like that. May be booting ok but I can't do anything with it.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug before the final version of Edgy was released. We were wondering is this still an issue with Edgy? Thanks in advance.

It got fixed with the final release. The bug was meant to help with the beta releases. We can close it now. I would do it but I don't shee how.
