MySQl administrator 1.1.6 Freeze

Hello,
The MySQL Administrator version 1.1.6-1build1from ubuntu 6.0 doesn't run properly on my system.
When I click the users icon the application make the following queries to the server and then freeze:

Query SELECT * FROM mysql.user WHERE 1=2
Query SELECT * FROM mysql.db WHERE 1=2
Query SHOW COLUMNS FROM mysql.tables_priv
Query SHOW COLUMNS FROM mysql.columns_priv
Query SELECT DISTINCT User FROM mysql.user ORDER BY User
******************* Then stop Here *************************
********* Should continue with something like this .... ********
Query show databases

I installed the generic version 1.2 that works fine but doesn't look as fancy as the one packaged in ubuntu.
