Bug Description

I can't perform package updates via an adept updater tool since i get the error message as follows: "There was an error commiting changes. Possibly there was a problem downloading some packages or the commit could break packages". This error occurs every time i am about to patch the system updates. I've tried to do it from CLI but it doesn't show any output after launching an adept_updater from CLI.
I've started from kubuntu edgy beta cd, and then i performed a dist-upgrade which went very smoothly, and gave no pain. The problem occured after applying the updates.

I haven't changed anything in the sources.list - it's just like it was after clean install + my edgy beta cd as a source for build essential packages etc.

Could you post the output of executing

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

in Konsole?

An error occured while processing (i don't know the exact phrase since i am using a localized version), but it's something like this

 apt-index-watcher
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

It appears that this problem has been resolved after recent updates. How do
I managed to perform a system update? Well I'd reboot the computer and then
did dist upgrade. It returned some errors, but applied the patches, so it is
ok now.
