Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-applet

I have installed and am using indicator-applet-appmenu as a replacement for globalmenu. The one piece of missing functionality is that in globalmenu, the window name (which would show up in the active window's title bar in a normal desktop) shows up just to the left of the application's menus, in bold. E.g.

*Terminal* File Edit View Search Terminal Help

Having the window title there is an essential piece of information to let you know which application is active.

indicator-applet-appmenu is missing this important piece of information.

this is more than a wishlist thing, because moving the appmenu out of the application window means disassociating it from the application window visually.

In doing so, the user has no direct way of knowing intuitively, that the application menus in his panel actually belong to the respective application.

Adding the application name would help largely, especially if it was a menu containing
*quit
*close
*hide
*minimize|maximize|fullscreen
*about
*help

For the time being, this behavior prevents me from replacing gnome-globalmenu with indicator-appmenu. Although indicator-appmenu can display the menus of QT apps.
