Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-live

The Ubuntu dapper version's live CD does not load automatically on HP V6102AU laptop.

Bug fix:

use kernel option

noapic

This will start the live CD. But the Broadcom 4300 driver is still not found.

This bug has had no activity for a considerable period. This is a check to see if there is still interest in investigating this bug report.
Appears to have been solved with kernel boot option. The Broadcom driver has been in continuous development for some time. It would be much better supported now. NdisWrapper is a fall back option if the Broadcom driver has trouble.
