folder operations clear name entry in Save As dialouge

Bug Description

to reproduce:
 - right click, Save As...
 - browse for other folders
 either:
   - create new folder. filename disappears when pressing 'enter' after typing folder name
   - browse to another drive under 'places'

I didn't check with FF 1.0.7, but the same problem appears for me on both FF
1.5x and all SeaMonkey nightlies under Linux.

Currently using: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b5)
Gecko/20051006 Firefox/1.4.1

I tried to reproduce the bug on FF 1.6a1 but the bug did not manifest itself. Upon creating a new folder, the name still sits happily in the Name input field of the Save As dialog box.

so why don't just get rid of this save-as dialog and go back to the old one? so far it's been only buggy and slow, and bloated.
sorry for the smasher, but i found the gnome save-as dialog to be really bad, not intuitive and slow

Thanks for your bug report. For which version of Firefox/Ubuntu to you see this bug? I tried in both Dapper and Edgy, and I cannot reproduce it.

I was using latest edgy.

The bug was consistently reproducible on my desktop.

I just tried again on my laptop, and the bug was still present:

- go to http://packages.debian.org/unstable/utils/gnash
- right click -> Save As... on the [dsc] file.
- browse for other folders
- double click on "File System"

filename entry disappears from Name: field

apt-cache policy shows 1.99+2.0rc2+dfsg-0ubuntu3 as installed.

I have the exact same version of Firefox than you. I followed your instructions, but the filename doesn't disapear for me. Weird. I wonder what else could cause this mismatch in behaviour between my computer and yours.
