Bug Description

I have a directory holding my vmware virtual machines, one temp dir which I don't want to backup. I also don't want to backup .wine .kde. It would be extremely cool, if I had a way to exclude these directories.

Confirmed, this is something which I seriously intend to look at for the next after first version.

this requires minor modifications and the backend level, but do require a substantial modification on the GUI level. In order to make it easy to do this, the UI would grow a button "Exclude" or so, and would pop up a preselected items list that would already include some smart guessed files/folders a normal user might not want to backup up from his machine. You've already provided a very good use case for that, and that is not backing up vmware content in run. This should see more discussions though, feel free to add your own feedback and comments.

ofcourse this should, in the grand view of things, be another special case of the genral infa that should be in place of white and black list, and should ofcourse remember user's choices and possibly "learn" his backup habits.
