Bug Description

Binary package hint: vlc

Using ubuntu 6.06 on a Dell D1100.

When I try to delete a track from the playlist for VLC, it crashes.

I actually wasn't editing the playlist right when VLC crashed, but I was renaming some files in a directory that VLC playlist editor was reading from. I am using Ubuntu Edgy on AMD ECS Sis735 mobo.

The debug log shows me this was with vlc 0.8.6 pre release.
How did you change your playlist exactly ? It's difficult to determine from the crashlog. More information about this bug would be appreciated.

when I deleted a track from the playlist it crashed.

Empty playlist, Added a directory that contains multiple media files, some audio some video.

The video formats would also be of multiple formats.
The directory contains files not associated with media.
The directory contains subdirectories with more media files.

Ubuntu Edgu 6.10 with VLC from official repository.

Also to me happened a similar problem but with some different conditions:

Playlist already with 50 mp3 in list, I tried to add other 10 mp3 browsing /home/user/music directory

LC media player 0.8.6 (wxWidgets interface)

I also have this problem.
It work when I add several files to the play, then I remove them and if I try to re-add some, vlc will crash.
