Bug Description
I get a crash report. But it doesn't seem it has crashed. I could be mistaken though. But everything stil seems to be working.
I got this report this morning. I left my PC on all night. So its most likely related to the screensaver or power-management. The screen was turned off (it does so automatically after x many minutes) and my default screensaver is the xmaxtrix one. I have an Nvidia card and are using the binary nvidia drivers from the official repositories.
On a side node the screensaver / power management is shaky in combination with XGL. Sometimes the screen turns off before the screensaver kicks in and when I wake it up by using the mouse, the screen turns on again and I see the screensaver for a couple of seconds before getting back to my desktop. It doesn't always happen though. (which is why I haven't filed a bug about this yet: i haven't figured out the precize pre-conditions for this to happen)
But perhaps this crashlog can give more insight. I see that there is an NVidia update now (20-10-2006) from build 10 to build 11. So I wasn't running build 11 yet. Perhaps this fixes it. If so I'll comment about this here again.
On the other hand, this could also be a bug in the problem report part: why is it saying xserver-xgl crashed when it is still functioning? Or does it automatically restart if it crashes without destroying my desktop session? It doesn't seem likely though.
(i first attach the small report and then i'll try to upload the big 26 mb crash-report, but it might not work)
