Bug Description

Here's some strange thing.
Happened on edgy eft, knot 3, beta and rc1.

When I open a file with the vi editor, normally it is possible to navigate with the cursor keys.
Not here, because the cursor keys invoke some strange steering signs or letters.

Using german keyboard layout on a asus w5f and ibm r40.

Cursor down brings a C, up a B...

Please tell me which logs I shall attatch.

Edgy by default installs only vim-tiny - please install "vim" package to get full blown version of vim.

A workaround for this bug is to run vimtutor and educate yourself about how the editor is supposed to work for roughly 30 to 40 minutes.
