Bug Description

When i boot using the live cd of 6.10 Beta it *always* boots fine.
Upon using live cd of 6.10rc it almost always locks up (1 successful boot in 10). The initial screen starts OK, then scrambles before the final window shows up. I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 and i recall that acceration was turned on in the rc version vs the beta. Could this be the problem?

Thanx much,
JWB

What version of Ubuntu are you using now? Does this bug still happen?

What i discovered thru trial and error, was that it was a flaky display
card. When i "retrofitted" an older version of the video driver, the
problem goes away. It also means, BTW, that i can't use the latest version
of Ubuntu, BUT i am upgrading my hardware momentarily.

Thanks much for your concern,
JWB
