Edgy LiveCD AMD64 no keyboard

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kubuntu-live

I downloaded the RC for AMD64 today and when I boot theLiveCD, the keyboard is not working. I have also tried a second keyboard I have here and still the same result. I tried them both in PS2 and USB modes.

Yes it seems it is the same problem. I also have experienced the situation with hitting one key and then getting a million dashes. Can't stop them other than rebooting.
Any solution that I can try in order to be able to install from live cd?
So far I have only tested the i386 version.

I guess we can label this bug as a duplicate of 66929

Hi there,

I found the same problem.

At first pressing a char in konsole printed many many chars... then I switched to CTRL-ALT-F1 then back to KDE and everything was smooth.
After many minutes I rebooted and now it looks like I do not have the keyboard.

Hi there,

I installed Kubuntu edgy, updated with latest fixes, and occasionally I encounter the same problem: no keyboad at login prompt.
If I restart the PC ususally it works.
