Bug Description
Binary package hint: laptop-detect
This is using Ubuntu Edgy RC LiveCD. The options are not available in the laptop/battery applet or the logout menu.
Suspend to disk and RAM are both available and functional in Dapper, and were available in earlier test releases of edgy. The options are also available when using the Kubuntu Edgy RC LiveCD.
I have not been able to test this on an installed version of Edgy RC due to a partitioning bug in the LiveCD installer (already reported).

I was able to download the alternative install CD, and once the system is installed the suspend and hibernate options are available. Not having these options on the LiveCD isn't such a bad thing as long as they are available on the installed system, so I'll close this bug.
