duplex printing misaligned

Bug Description

When duplex printing on paper larger than the document size (e.g. a 7×9 document page size printing on 8.5×11 page), it would be helpful if evince would move alternating pages to the right so that they are aligned properly with the text on the opposite side.

This bug may belong to cupsys, I'm not sure how much control evince has in that area

Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? Does it happen with other applications too?

Edgy. It also happens with Openoffice.org.

So this likely belongs to cupsys?

Whether this belongs to cupsys depends on where the page size conversion takes place -- does evince modify the page size to 8.5×11 before passing it to cupsys, or does it pass it the 7×9 page and hope cupsys will do the right thing with it?

Would be a question for somebody from the printing team. If that happens with other applications that's likely to not be an evince problem, reassigning to cupsys, printing team feel free to reassign back if that's an application bug

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
