Slow to start, freezing, applets randomly don't load

Bug Description

In edgy, about ever since RC came around, logging into gnome has been really slow, like a couple of minutes. It seems the biggest problem is the panel, it freezes and tilts every now and then. On login, a random collection of applets (weather, network monitors, task list) doesn't load (the list changes every time) and gnome asks if I want to remove the non-working applets.

Any ideas how to debug?

Thanks for your bug. Is your "lo" interface correctly configured? Do you have anything to ~/.xsession-errors about that? To debug you can log using the gdm debug option, run gnome-panel with gdb and get a backtrace when it's hanging by example

.xsession-errors didn't have anything important, but it seems since the release came out, the problems have disappeared.

On my behalf, you can close this.
