"dpkg: parse error" on package installation

Bug Description

Tried to install package on Edgy (i386) system and got the following error:

dpkg: parse error, in file `/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 4124 package `liblocale-gettext-perl':
 field name `' must be followed by colon
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)

What package? And can you replicate this on Hardy (or even Intrepid)?
