Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem-xine

When I play a movie (regardless of it's format) all non - black parts of the video are shown VERY bright. The gnome desktop colors (when viewing pictures and stuff) are normal.

Thanks for your bug. Do you have the issue with xine-ui too? What about totem-gstreamer?

I didn't try with xine-ui. It got very annoying so I switched to gstreamer and I have this other color bug you know about. I fear my video card driver messes something up big time :(

I have the exact same problem. I tried both xine-ui and totem-gstreamer and others.

I got the problem to go away using VLC with X11 video output. Hope this helps others.

If this really is a duplicate, I couldn't find the original one...Anyway, I can confirm this bug in Hardy running on a Compaq Evo. Actually, totem-xine was working fine just 'til like 3 days ago... :-\. When I play a video on gXine, it works just fine (except dvds, those are also too bright for some reason).
