Bug Description

Binary package hint: python-biopython

The EUtils package in the python-biopython package in Ubuntu (still valid in edgy) is unusable since the NCBI has changed their DTDs and so some commands such as searching in their databases fails. Someone had posted a patch (http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.python.bio.general/2161) on the biopython list, that was incorporated in the newest upstream release (1.42 - Ubuntu is at 1.41).

Still, EUtils is unusable on edgy (probably on dapper as well, as it's a change of NCBI's DTD as I said). I'd suggest backporting the EUtils fix if possible (although the patch looks hard to find).
