I'm not sure what you mean - are you using alacarte menu editor?

What are you expecting to find in the Debian menu? Ubuntu normally has nothing in there.

Caroline

In the last two version of Kubuntu. I would install menus then do a
update-menus and it would load all the debian apps in a folder at the
top of kmenu called Debian with all the apps.

In there was a lot apps

   Debian
      Apps
            Databases
            Editor
            Graphics
            Math
            Net
            Programming
            Shells
            Sound
            System
            Text
            Tools
            Viewers
    Help
    Screen
    Xshells

All of them have more apps in them.

Not sure what ubuntu has but Kubuntu has lots and lots of apps.
Including the 2 apps of Openoffice not in the Office directory.
Kcontrol which is better then System Settings and lots more.

Start up Kubuntu Dapper and do the commands I list top fo this email and
see.

thanks

Michelle
