Bug Description

I have a HP Pavilion dv1000 and when I am in a place that I usually used a wireless network and I open the network manager, it doesn't show the list of networks available. I have to use iwlist eth1 scanning to copy the name of the network I want to use, and this happen to me and many of my friends who also have Ubuntu Edgy Eft in their laptops

Hello,

I installed Edgy on both mine and my wife's laptop. Both have a broadcom chipset, and we're using ndiswrapper. Here is a screenshot of my network manager, and my wife's looks identical. Clicking the down arrow produces nothing. Like the original poster, iwlist scan is necessary for finding available networks.
