openafs does not build with module_assistant

Version: Ubuntu 6.10 Eddy Eft
              openafs-modules-source1.4.1-4
              linux-image-2.6.17-10
              linux-headers-2.6.17-10

Steps:
1.-sudo module-assistant prepare openafs-modules
2.-sudo module-assistant -t auto-build openafs-modules

What happens:

It stops building and prints the error message
