Kubuntu Edgy alternate install CD gets confused with multiple CD-ROM drives

Bug Description

I have both a DVD+-RW drive and a CD-RW drive (both bootable). When installing with the Kubuntu alternate installation CD booted from the CD-RW drive, the installer reports an error after the keyboard layout steps if any disc is in the DVD+-RW drive. It reports:

The CD-ROM drive contains a CD which cannot be used for installation. Please insert a suitable CD to continue with the installation.

I figured out that I needed to remove the media from the DVD drive and then the installer went on, but this would really confuse new users.

i can confirm this when I used 2 cdrom images (one cd was edgy, the other was the "vmware-tools" linux.iso cd) with vmware and the alternate cd.
