Binary package hint: gnome-lirc-properties

If I try to start gnome-lirc-properties on my system instead of a window I get the following message:

workaround is: sudo apt-get install hal

Sorry to bump this, but this issue is still present in Oneiric. Using the HAL workaround fixes the issue. Maybe the package dependencies should be changed to require HAL, now that it is depreciated and not present in a default installation.

Or a patch to make gnome-lirc-properties NOT dependent of HAL, since Ubuntu doesnt need HAL anymore.

Always existing in Ubuntu 13.10.

Hal is now integrated in udev on Ubuntu. No Hal dependency could be found in the future.
