Bug Description
I like my virtual terminals in 1024x768 resolution and thus I have always used `vga=791` as a kernel parameter to get 1024x768 at the virtual terminals.
This worked fine with Dapper but it breaks the splash screen in Edgy. The splash looks totally off-center both horizontally and vertically.
I tried `vga=789` which is supposed to give me 800x600, but that breaks the splash all the more. The splash screen becomes huge and the Ubuntu logo even wraps around the screen.
This is IMHO a regression from the Dapper usplash and may be has something to do with the recent re-engineering for Edgy.
