Certain pages cause firefox 2.0 to dmp

I can't reproduce this crash at said URL (running Edgy w/ i810 driver, composite and AIGLX enabled under xfwm4 on Xubuntu).

Yes, I can confirm that removing flash plugin ends these failures.
But I have not found any way to get flash plugin to work. It always fails. Anyway,
firefox works fine without flash plugin.

I cannot reproduce the described problem on Debian with these packages:

firefox 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.7-1
flashplugin-nonfree 9.0.21.55.1

Yes, it works with firefox 1.5 for me, too. The problem occurs with firefox 2.0 only

I managed to get this to work by doing:
sudo gedit /usr/bin/firefox
and adding the following line as the second last:
export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1
After restarting firefox, it worked.
