Evolution doesn't open html links

Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

When I try to open a link in Evolution, it doesn't open directly in Firefox. I have to click on Firefox to see what I just opened.
It would be great to have the firefox window on the top of the screen when you open a link in Evolution

Hi. Thanks for your bug report.

Do the following steps:
- Open System->Preferences->Preferred Applications
- Select (in Web Browser section):
  - 'Firefox' as your browser
  - 'Open link in new window' as behavior

Click on any link in evolution (or any gnome application).

Have your problems finished?

It solves the problem in my case. It seems that the configuration has been lost during the last update.

I would reopen this bug if possible submitting the errors from the console during evolution start up.
I use evolution 2.12.1 under kubuntu 7.10 in which my KDE default settings indicate firefox as browser. I followed the guideline 'Open link in new window' as behavior setting (this in firefox options cause in KDE is not possible so far). Maybe it is a problem of KDE for a gnome application like Evolution. If you like I could submit other proper infos.

In the following screenshot I try to open 7 times a link in an e-mail of mine.

OK I have it. It is a bug related to KDE. I created a new user and I logged in. Bug disappears. Even delating my .kde directory all returns to function. I don't know where bug is exactly located but surely in .kde directory. Bug is therefore not related to Evolution but to KDE settings. Hope someone would correct it in next releases.
