error in compiling sources with Agilent 82357a

Bug Description

This applies only for Edgy. Works fine in Breezy and Dapper:

1. Install gpib-modules-sources
2. Install module-assistant
3. Use module assistant to build gpib-modules-sources
4. Get a freaky error message about unknown "owner" field while compiling the file
/usr/src/modules/gpib/agilent_82357a/agilent_82357a.c

I'm desperate and don't really know how to proceed from here...

If you know how to overcome this problem, i.e. if you think this is not a bug, please let me know as this computer is to be my workstation. If I can't have a working GPIB I'll have to revert back to Dapper or Breezy.

Thanks.

As near as I can tell the gpib modules haven't been ported/updated to the newer usb model. The error you are getting is a reference to a field in a struct that doesn't exist. You can comment out the bad line but there are several other errors.

Changed in gpib:
status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed
