Bug Description
To upgrade from Ubuntu 6.06 LTS on my PowerPC maschine I try the suggested command
gksu "update-manager -c"
in the Terminal. At "Fetching and installing the upgrades" I rescieved a windows which says
=======
Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop'
Ein erforderliches Paket konnte nicht installiert werden. Bitte erstellen Sie hierfür einen Fehlerbericht.
=======
(The german text says that: One essential package could not been installed. Please create a bug report for this here.)
Maybe the ubuntu-desktop package isn't available right now.
Starting gksu "update-manager -c" shows on the terminal also this:
/usr/lib/
warnings.
The same happens if I use the Ubuntu 6.10 Desktop CD to upgrade.
I started the upgrade using
sudo "bash /cdrom/ cdromupgrade"
and at "Fetching and installing the upgrades" I also rescieved a windows which says
