gnome-system-monitor tool tip activated by wrong area of screen and then doesn't go away

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-system-monitor

version 2.16.1

when in the processes tab tool-tips appear when you hover over a process
this works correctly and the tool-tip disappears as it should

however if you move over the 'load averages' line above the process listing the tool-tip for the top process is incorrectly displayed (it should not appear). This tool-tip fails to disappear when for example you move off the application. It only disappears when another 'proper' tool-tip is activated as above. The tool-tip also remains when I change tabs in gnome-system-monitor.
