Bug Description
This is the information when I try to upgrade a package, seems that upstart chokes on setting this up. I can not remove, or install a new package, with apt, or dpkg or even do a purge as the system gives the following errors.
E:/var/
Stopping lcd4linux: invoke-rc.d: initscript lcd4linux, action "stop" failed.
dpkg: warning - old pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
dpkg - trying script from the new package instead ...
Stopping lcd4linux: invoke-rc.d: initscript lcd4linux, action "stop" failed.
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/
subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1
Starting lcd4linux: lcd4linux.
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Nothing to do with upstart, just looks like a common init script bug in lcd4linux (failing to take into account that "stop" might not work in remove)
