Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Am running Akregator in Gnome panel 2.16.1 when I minimize Akregator the panel icon is placed over the applications pull down menu and cannot be moved. Worked fine in Dapper, I looked to see what options I had to fix the problem.

Confirming due to duplicate report - 84109 - similar instances/issue with KDEPIM. Original report text from 84109 to follow.

What happened was, after opening Kontact, it automatically opened KOrganizer Reminder Daemon and BasKet. KNotify's and BasKet's panel icons sometimes appear somewhere under the applications tab or somewhere around that area.

This happened with Ubuntu Edgy Eft but never happened with my Kubuntu desktop in the same partition with the Ubuntu.

I am unable to locate any upstream reports both opened and closed for this issue. Does this issue still occur in Hardy?

I have been using KDE for the past little while due to more stable file manager. But if my memory is correct it seems to be a loading problem or the fact of not having a full installation of KDE at that time. I have found that most of the major desktops environments sometimes work funny if you do not install all the packages even though the dependences are met.

I am going to go ahead and mark this as fixed released. I just gave it a shot on the Gutsy box and didn't notice it. I am annoyed by the fact though with the whole korganizer stuff being installed too. Time for a stand alone kde rss feed reader I think :) Thanks again for this report! Have fun with Kubuntu!
