Bug Description
Binary package hint: lirc
"The lirc_mceusb2 driver as is has a rather annoying data queuing
bug that results in key stutter. A key that is being continuously
pressed will result in the driver sending a burst of 3 or so keys
followed by a quiet period while a set of another 3 keys is being
queued." - Maciek Klimkowski

Maciek included a patch, which can be found here:

This patch made a world of difference for me. My remote went from being just barely functional to being wonderfully responsive.

Just a small clarification, even though the patch name suggests it's for 0.8.0.pre4, it applies equally well to the vanila 0.8.0 that can be downloaded from the LIRC homepage right now.
