Bug Description

Unfortunately, I don't have much information on this as of yet, but will update when I can.

The problem is when resuming from a suspend-to-ram cycle sometimes - not always - the screen turns black. Everything seems to work, so I can switch VTs to a console and continue from there (with a reboot, that is; for some reason gnome won't restart if I simply stop gdm and start it again). Since I've been having compiz running, I tried to suspend/resume with metacity instead a few times, and it seems that after a few cycles something with the 3D acceleration fails. I noticed that glxgears completely freezes the system (requires hard reboot).

My system is a fujitsu-siemens lifebook p7010, with a 855GM video card. I've been using various kernels (including the official kernel, and other kernels that I know have no problems with suspend/resume under other distributions).

Thanks.

Marking as duplicate. Seems like there's a real issue going around with the i810 driver on Intel 910/915 graphics cards and some other intel cards (like thisone). There's a lot of bugs on this one, but none of the bugs are that great. Picked the best and marking duplicates
