Debian has 0.8.21-3 but I can't see a fix for this bug, or a report of it either.

The latest version upstream is the same as in edgy - 0.8.21

This bug doesn't occur in upstream's bug tracker. (http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?group=glob2)

We need to see if we can reproduce and then send upstream.

It would be useful if you followed the instructions in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash to install a debug version of glob2. This will enable you to produce more detailed crash files.

I can reproduce this: win campaign six, and when the dialog comes up
asking if one wishes to continue, hit cancel.

I canceled, going on further in the campaign. That caused Glob2 to crash.
