Bug Description

Installed Ubuntu 6.10 from CD, but had old config files from 6.06 in /home (which was preserved through install). Firefox checked on extensions from 1.5 for compatibility, found several that wouldn't work under 2.0, grabbed updates and installed them. Then it began to start and dumped out with a message to file the bug report with the file I've included.

The extensions I had installed were:

English (GB) Language Pack 2.0
ScrapBook 1.2.0.5
Sage 1.3.8
ColorZilla 0.8.3.1
Firefox (default) 2.0 [the default theme]
Backgroundimage Saver 0.1.2
FireFTP 0.94.6
Ñandú 0.6
Allow Right-Click 0.4
Nuke Anything Enhanced 0.54
User Agent Switcher 0.6.9
Google Browser Sync 1.3.20061031.0
MediaPlayerConnectivity 0.7.3
UnPlug 1.4.4
Flashblock 1.5.1
Torbutton 1.0.4
Tabbrowser Preferences 1.3.1.1
VideoDownloader 1.1.1
Session Manager 0.4.3

The system caught the crash and issued a request for a bug report to be filed. I checked around and couldn't seem to find anything similar; however, the bug report form doesn't appear to have a way to attach the file it created with detailed info. Let me know and I can send it separately if needed.

Thanks for your bug report. Could you please install firefox-dbg and try to obtain a backtrace (or crash report) by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingFirefox This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

Thanks
David

   David,
My apologies for the long delay in responding.
Unfortunately after I submitted the bug several other
issues with Ubuntu Edgy irked me to the point I went
back Dapper. I have since moved forward, again, to
Edgy and this time FF 2.0 not only started up at first
boot, but has been solid ever since.
I made no real changes to my profile, so to answer
some of your previous questions:

Flash: ver. 7
Java: ver. 5.0
Plugins: Adblock Plus 0.7.2.2, Flashblock 1.5.2, Nuke
Anything 0.54, Sage 1.3.8, ScrapBook 1.2.0.6, Session
Manager 0.4.3, Backgroundimage Saver 0.1, Colorzilla
0.8.3.1, MediaPlayer Connectivity 0.7.6.1, Tabbrowser
Preferences 1.3.1.1, FireFTP 0.94.6, Allow Right-Click
0.4, Torbutton 1.0.4

Please do let me know if there's anything else I
can do to help with this matter,
   Andrew Hermetz
